On Saturday, April 19, 2008 Franciscan Haircuts from the Heart will host its first Celebrity Hair and Fashion Show Fundraising Event. This after-five event promises to be an evening full of entertainment, information and inspiration with a diverse line-up of local celebrities including politicians, news personalities, athletes, corporate leaders and community leaders modeling the latest in fashion and hair design. There will be a sit-down dinner, live music and a live and silent auction.

Mitchell's Salon and Day Spa, Greater Cincinnati's largest locally-owned chain of beauty salons, is joining Hairdressers Unlocking Hope, a national fundraising initiative to replace homes in New Orleans destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The goal is to raise $85,000 by October 31 to build one house for a deserving family, in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity.

Greater Cincinnati’s largest locally-owned chain of hair salons will close its Tri-County location at 11330 Princeton Pike from February 5 until March 5 for renovation. During the temporary closure, hair stylists from Tri-County will be available at Mitchell’s Northgate salon, while massage, skin and nail technicians will be seeing clients at the firm’s Northgate, West Chester, Kenwood and Rookwood locations.
